Oh, how happy I am that I added this book to my little blue box. Middletide was riveting!  Chock-full of atmosphere and centered around a well-crafted mystery, this is one of those reads that completely consumed me. I loved how it started out as a slow burn story and then steadily picked up momentum and intrigue until I couldn't possibly put it down. In fact, the night I finished it, I had this brief internal battle with myself since I had to be up at 4 a.m. the next morning... do I get that much needed sleep, or do I read late into the night so I can see how it all ends? Friends, I know you are far too familiar with this battle. As for me, sleep always wins since I seem to crave sleep. But this time? The book won.
