I liked the plot, but it was very predictable, so when everything came to a head, I was underwhelmed. For its length, it felt like there were pieces that were underdeveloped. It jumps back and forth between a lot of perspectives so I never felt super connected with any one character. Riley was probably the one I’d say the most time is spent with, but even for her it felt pretty surface level. I think had the story been narrowed down to one or two perspectives, it might have made me more invested in them. It was an enjoyable read, just didn’t blow me away.
