City of Girls by Elizabeth Gilbert

I knew by the end of the first page I would like this book. I said so to Lucas. I didn't know I'd love this book. It is unapologetic, it is strong, it is nostalgic, it taught me more about women's fashion in the 1940s than I thought possible. Some characters were vapid, some were people I want to be best friends with. Everyone had weaknesses and character flaws, but that's the point. And I'm 100% here for it.
