I’ve seen nothing but good things in regard to this book, and it certainly lived up to the hype. It’s a great combination of Vikings fantasy. It’s got deliciously dark vibes. The world building and magic system are fascinating. The romantic tension and spice are top notch without overtaking the plot. And the unexpected twists and turns of the story were phenomenal. Demi Winters wrote incredibly flawed but still likable characters. There’s a hint of a love triangle and I honestly never could decide who I wanted to root for. The Blood Axe Crew managed to steal my heart though. What a fun and vicious band of misfits. I am very eager to start Kingdom of Claws now and see where this goes next!
