Release the ermine!
This book gave me so much more than I expected of it. This is the very first historical romance I’ve read. I heard it was going to be spicy, but I was worried it’s not going to be as spicy as I’ve hoped. (Scenes not described as much, or not even really having actual sex scenes) Well, I can tell you that the spice did not disappoint. And it was immaculately written. But besides the spice: I just loved the whole story so much! Loved the writing style, loved the humour, loved the characters. It was just a very fun and endearing adventure with the very welcomed addition of the spiciness. I can very confidently say that I’ll read all of Tessa Dare’s wonderful books, and I’ll treasure them just as much as this one.
When Izzy was reading Lady Shemily Liverpail’s letter I was so mortified, I had to put the book down for a little bit.
