I loved this book even more the second time!

Vengeful by V.E. Schwab - ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I loved this book! Marcella is a great new character in this world, and I totally get why everyone said she’s basically a 2018 mood.

Victor and Eli are up to their old antics again, and somehow, despite being straight-up murderers, you feel.. bad for them!? Schwab does an amazing job of creating morally-grey characters and forcing the reader to question their own morals as well.

I adored Sydney, and love how she developed in this book. The relationships between her, Victor, and Mitch are both odd and adorable. They are the cutest little family.

I was not the biggest fan of June as a character on her own, but she definitely brought some interesting elements to the table. I was pretty impressed by her power to say the least!

My only complaint was that it felt like some of the "intense" moments went by too quickly. It felt like they should have taken longer, almost dragged out a bit, but they were over quickly and I found myself reading back to see if I missed anything.

Other than that, I really enjoyed this book! I definitely recommend it, and although you could read it on its own, I highly suggest reading Vicious first to learn the backstory!
