Reread in 2023:
She's still 5 stars. Leigh Bardugo is brilliant, and turns out I didn't remember a single thing about this book other than surface level summaries. This book was compelling, intriguing, confusing, and mysterious. Alex is a pain in the ass, Darlington is the loml, Dawes is me in another life. And the cliff hanger and plot twists??? Brb while I dive headfirst into Hell Bent after entirely too long.

First read in 2020:
I'm obsessed. #2 can't get here fast enough. Ghosts and magic had me skeptical, but I'm glad I took the leap. This book took fantasy that could have gone very wrong and instead made it tangible and oh so right.
