I expected this to be good because… it’s Monica Prince. I did not expect this to rip me open, read me down to my soul, and stitch me back together in a way that altered my brain waves. This was EXCELLENT! I want to kick myself for waiting this long to read it. I read and reread, highlighted and annotated until the pages were almost unrecognizable, and best of all—I cried. Several times, I felt something so deep inside me swell and shift that I had to take moments to gather myself so my tears wouldn’t block the words on the page. I will never be the same again. Five pages in and I knew this was a five-star read, halfway through and I declared it my favorite poetry collection. I’ll be coming back to this masterpiece soon, and soon after that, and soon after that. Thank you, Professor Prince.
