I couldn't put this book down! Such an adventure, such epic world building, such a hilarious and sarcastic unicorn companion 😄  Asking the questions: what does it mean to be free, and what would you pay to preserve that freedom? The best fantasy asks the big questions, and shows us certain truths. In The Outstretched Shadow we see the intricate ways we are all connected, to each other, the world, even the past... 
I love it, high fantasy at its best!
