I love the trend of fictional books (made up books in tv shows or movies) made real. On "Jane the Virgin," I thought the novel SNOW FALLING was a historical romance based on her grandparents love story, but this version was basically the plot of JTV's first few seasons, except set in 1902 so Jane/Josephine is impregnated the traditional way instead of artificially inseminated. 

I finished the book just to see how closely it resembled the series, but it was not fun. It did make me want to go rewatch JTV though.
