The amount of past vs present plot in this volume is crazy. After finishing it, it feels as if Iโve read multiple books all at once.
But, finally we learn the backstory to Wei Wuxianโs path to Demonic Cultivation. Itโs a sad one, thatโs for sure.

The slow burn between Wei Wuxian and Lan Wangji was burning HOT in this volume. Well, as much as it could with such an oblivious main character. The โblindfold sceneโ was top notch.

If this quote doesnโt summarize the entire story of MDZS for our poor Wei Ying, I donโt know what does.
Onto the next one!
