Sooo... my theories about this book were utter crap, basically LOL (except the one about Navis being an alien, but that one was way obvious so I can't really be like "ha! I told you so!")
I liked how the story got resolved. Everything moved crazy fast, and though at times things seemed like they were going a bit too well and like everything was a hair too easy, I couldn't really be all that mad about it. I was glad the human race was getting a break after so much hardship. The aliens deserved what they got, but I'm still a little sad that they couldn't be somewhat more open minded and live in harmony with the humans.
The decision to alternate chapters between Amber and Remy was a very interesting choice, that gave us a cool insider look into the alien operation. I liked it. Remy ended up being a much more interesting character that I first gave her credit for, so that was cool.
I'm still the biggest Ryber shipper ever and I actually awwed out loud when he asked her to marry him. I don't know if this is just me, but at times it felt like the romance aspect of the book was more of a second thought. This isn't actually a romance story, it's a story about alien invasion and human perseverance with a little romance sprinkled here and there for a bit of added heat. But I get it. It must be hard t9 find the time to get it on when you're running for your life.
All in all, it was a great conclusion to a action filled trilogy. I just would have liked a longer, more lovey-dovey epilogue. Maybe something from Rylen's POV? like Amber announcing her pregnancy or them discovering it together? That would have melted my heart, I'm sure!
