I love random indie comics anthologies to discover new artists and admire a range of techniques and this anthology certainly delivers in variety, although it does drag in points and some comics were hard to follow. I particularly had a hard time with excerpts of longer works that just didn't really work on their own.

The real highlights for me were "Genesis" by Marta Chudolinska, a surreal cut-paper comic; "Dreaming" by the absolute genius Tillie Walden; "An Unravelling" by Andy Warner, on living in Lebanon and visiting Aleppo before the Syrian Civil War broke out; the simple, elegant and profound "Salt Soap" by Lucy Bellwood; and "It's Not About You" by Ben Passmore, which imparts an important lesson in an intriguing and powerful way.
