The Last Summer by Boris Pasternak

emotional mysterious reflective slow-paced
  • Plot- or character-driven? A mix
  • Strong character development? It's complicated
  • Loveable characters? It's complicated
  • Diverse cast of characters? No
  • Flaws of characters a main focus? Yes
Not going to rate this one, partially because I can't settle on a rating, and partially because I don't understand what I just read. I'm confused as to what happened in a lot of instances, who each person was in some, and just overall baffled by the jumps.
Having said that, the writing was absolutely beautiful, and transportive. I still adore Boris Pasternak's way with words and description.
Hopefully I can return to this another time, and perhaps understand a little more.
