The Good Girl's Guide to Rakes by Eva Leigh

5.0

What a great HR to start the year! I never read any books by Eva Leigh, but it seems like I need to fix that mistake on my part.

Individually the characters were great. It was beautiful seeing Celeste blossom throughout the book. She faced her circumstances head on and made the best of what she could. I adore that in a heroine. And Kieran. Kieran. I LOVE a rake with layers. I loved that he a kind man at the end of the day. He also has such a way with words. He was so romantic, loving, and very swoon worthy. Together, though, is where the characters truly shined. The chemistry between Celeste and Kieran was palpable.

I love a good fall for your brother's best friend story, and this definitely delivered. Leigh did a great job in developing the side characters. I am intrigued on the next stories. I look forward to reading about he other scoundrels in the series (I'm specifically talking about Dominic Killburn *fans self*).
