The Unhoneymooners by Christina Lauren
3.0
It was a fantastic quick read and I would have happily given it 5stars if it weren't for a few bits of immaturity:
1. I don't understand why people find it so hard to be civil to people they don't like in a public setting. That's maturity.
2. The whole cheating brother in law part. I didn't like how they handled it. Yes, he's manipulative. Yes, Ami and Ethan are blind. But why is everyone so defensive? Why can't you have a conversation? Again, that's maturity.
3. The underlying theme this whole book has been that Olive doesn't try to work hard and instead blames it all on being unlucky where as Ami is the exact opposite. But, there are no explicit instances where Olive doesn't give her best. I agree that Ami works had to be 'lucky'. But, again, the book doesn't explore the 'why'.
