I was really excited to read this one. It takes place over the course of six hours, while the protagonist attempts to swim the godfather swim in Lake Tahoe. Told in verse, some with shapes some with loose rhymes, this book was a touching (but not too touching) look at a girl dealing with the aftermath of a mom's abandonment. I am looking forward to recommending this one to my students.
