Sasha Masha by Agnes Borinsky
4.0
Oh this was such a... (Cute isn't the word, but we'll go with it) cute story of coming to terms with queerness - through a nice if uninteresting straight relationship, to discovering a queer group of friends who will be supportive and with whom to explore, to coming to terms with one's own sense of self. This book only encompasses the beginning of Sasha Masha's queer journey, but it's a story that can really help non-queer (and particularly cisgender) readers understand how very little "trans-ness" looks like what they may expect.
I also love that the author narrated this. It was obvious from the very beginning that this story is very close to and important to the author and their identity and journey.
{Thank you Librofm for the ALC; all thoughts are my own}
