Everyone has that one book they read a million times as a kid and somehow haven't touched for years. This book is mine. Reading it again was like stepping into a time capsule and being swept back to my childhood! The writing style is luxurious and lovely, and Marie is such a sweet little thing! Also the version I listened to was read by Christopher Plummer and accompanied by the soundtrack of The Nutcracker ballet, which was just lovely! It might just be the nostalgia goggles, which are probably a mile thick for this particular story, but I loved it as much now as I did when I was little!
