The Seaside Sisters: A Novel by Pamela Kelley

3.0

This one definitely fell flat for me. The title is misleading as the relationship between the sisters was barely something to be invested in. I didn’t like how the author described certain scenes. It felt forced and irrelevant to explain some of the things in detail like she did…and while she focused too much on irrelevant detail, there wasn’t enough on character building. I wasn’t invested in a single character in this book, I barely felt like I got their personality at all. Then a few characters were introduced briefly for about a chapter and then never mentioned again. What was the point of giving a backstory on characters if they didn’t matter at all to the story. Overall, it was ok, but I won’t be recommending it to others.
