10 Things That Never Happened by Alexis Hall
3.0
I thought Sam was sweet, but Jonathan's stern, harsh demeanour made it hard for me to get into this one. I was ready for the grumpy/sunshine trope, but Jonathan spent SO much of the book scowling, which kinda killed the vibe for me. The boss-employee dynamic added an uncomfortable layer, as Jonathan kept putting Sam in his place, and I just didn’t feel the chemistry between them.
There were a few sweet moments (like the Christmas shopping scene!!) but I wanted so much more - I wanted to swoon.
It was a quick read and had a funny premise, but the romance felt a little forced, and I didn’t really root for them as a couple.
