I think I’ll have to re read this in autumn/winter in order to give it a more accurate rating because I feel like a lot of the plot went over my head. What was the plot? I don’t know 😅. But I did like Emily’s and Wendell’s characters and their banter with each other. Every time they interacted I felt more engaged into the story, but I still have this feeling that I didn’t capture what went down. I honestly stayed for the cozy vibes I was feeling.
note to self: when I do pick this up again, I should annotate/try engaging with the text more so I can capture the details and follow the plot more closely.
