Othello by William Shakespeare

Now I’ve listened to an audio dramatization and read the play. The next step is to watch the play. Backwards, I know, but I’m working with what I’ve got. Reading the tragedy was easier to stomach than the dramatic reading. Less over-acting (as can be necessary with an audio only recording) and more time to appreciate the richness of the language.

I finished reading the play sitting under a tree by Lake Mälaren. Immediately upon closing my book, I was surprised by a snake in the grass. How apropos.
