The way I consumed this book with a quickness… anyone who knows me knows I have never shut up about this series since I read book 1 back in 2022. Endless yapping.
I didn’t know what to expect from Oathbound and even without concrete expectations, this book brew it all out of the water. Oh my god, what a book. I was stressed, I got teary eyes and even cried a few times, and did I mention that this book stressed me out?
I was pleasantly surprised by two of the POVs included in this book, one of which I have been hoping for since Legendborn. I thoroughly enjoyed some of the new characters and reoccurring side characters. I loved seeing how Bree grows as a character despite some issues she’s forced to deal with at the start of the book. And finally but not least, I loved just how much Bree is loved by the characters that matter to her in this book, she is loved in such a way that it comes off in waves from the books and makes you, the reader, feel like you’re being wrapped in that blanket of care.
I have no idea how the finale for the series will go. I’m honestly still trying to process everything that happened to the point where I kind of want to reread already. Mrs. Tracy really did her big one with this book and I can’t wait to see how she wraps it all up in book 4!
