Atomic Empire by Thierry Smolderen

A gorgeous, surprising and surreal sci-fi graphic novel with amazing, colourful retro-futurist artwork by Alexandre Clerisse. Our protagonist, Paul, is a government researcher who has lived his life since childhood in telepathic contact with Zarth Arn, a warrior living in the far future. Due to this unique relationship, the way he experiences and narrates time isn't linear, so the story jumps back and forth through the years between the 1920s and 60s. I found it a bit hard to follow at certain points but the imagination and the stellar artwork made this well worth the read.
