I found this book to be delightful. Grumpy-sunshine with the FMC being the grump. I would call this friends to lovers, but the romance is absolutely backseat in this book and there is no spice at all, so don’t go into this thinking it’s a traditional romance fantasy.

The MMC was a delightful character with witty dialogue. The FMC was a quiet, scholarly type which I always love and identify with. I think a big reason I liked this book so much is because it reminded me of when I was a little girl— how I’d always linger in the woods looking for fairies, or make up the stories in my head about finding them. (It’s not juvenile at all… it just gave me the vibe of that nostalgic sense of wonder and magic)
