Woman of Blood & Bone by Annie Anderson
3.0
Fast read - 2.5 stars maybe???
Good fast read, I actually really liked the ideas in here it was an interesting concept and the writing, though kind of basic had enough oomf to it where I could and wanted to keep reading.
My negatives are there were a few places characters were introduced with no name, then suddenly there is a named character two chapters or so later and it takes a lot of back and forth to make sure that is actually who the author meant to reference. Also there are several times when something is said as a character’s absolute and then the character just does an about face. The story just feels more like a really well fleshed out outline, very rushed. This could have been very good if a little more time was taken and things were double checked and filled out more.
Bottom line I will probably at the very least read the next book, I’m interested to see how this goes.
