Here Lies Arthur by Philip Reeve
5.0
Part of what I love about Arthurian legend is that it's pretty much made to be retold and adapted. You can completely change the context of the entire legend and because the basic plot is so familiar it can amplify your changes to create an even more interesting story. What I loved about this book specificly was the focus put on a female protagonist inserting her into the legend of Arthur in ways that are unexpected and incredibly interesting. Even though it has been years since I first read this book I know I plan to re-read it in the future and even got myself a copy for just such the occasion. Hopefully once I re-read I'll be able to come back here and give a more comprehensive review and see if it lives up to my past experiences.
