The Other Woman by Sandie Jones
4.0
Type of read: Commuter Read.
What made me pick it up: I believe it came recommended on one of my personalized lists from my local library (based on previous library loans). I also think I mistook the cover art for a B.A. Paris book and that made it land on my list a little faster than it usually would have.
Overall rating: 'The Other Woman' was one of those books that I was waiting and waiting for something to happen and then WHAM! Something happened and I was completely taken off guard. I do feel like my enjoyment of 'The Other Woman' is a bit skewed because I came to this book after a honker of a fantasy fiction book, so 'The Other Woman' was the simple, to the point read I needed as a refresher but honestly, I just really appreciated how Jones kept the surprises coming. There was a point in the book, probably about 3/4 of the way through where I was like 'ok, where is this going to go, everything is making too much sense.' And especially within the last few chapters of the book she just knocked it out of the park. I finished 'The Other Woman' a day ago and have already recommended it.
Reader's Note: There are some themes of mental and emotional abuse along with sexual themes including descriptions of sexual acts.
