This is the third book in the Fae of Snow and Ice (completed) series that is your classic “fae with wings” romantasy. Tropes and themes include betrayals, political intrigue, portals, winged MMC, touch her and die, found family, morally gray MMC, winged FMC and banter. This book does contain spicy adult content and dark themes so please check content warnings.
The Lovely: I found myself loving the characters even more in this book, especially Nori’s guards. That have become a kind of found family situation and their humor and banter had me smiling. I also loved seeing the main couple spending more time together - especially when they’re working together.
The Mundane: This book felt even more fast paced than the others and while it made for a quick read, it didn’t feel like we, as the readers, had enough time to enjoy the new locale and the changing relationships between the main characters.
Rating: 4/5 Stars 2/5 Flames
Recommendation: While this book doesn’t end on a cliffhanger per SE, it was still heavy with the weight of what is to come next. I also thought the supernatural/realm crossover to the author’s other world was interesting and unique. On to the fourth and final book!
