An interesting story and a lot different from the movie. It is a book that you need to take your time reading especially if you are not a native speaker of Scottish Gaelic (but due to 'The Outlander' TV show I did know one word). It was good that it did have a glossary at the back of the book. I did find the book really funny. Just found the fact the reason whether or not the islanders got in trouble over the whisky resolved three quarter through the book. The rest of the book was more a window/ long epilogue to what happen afterwards. Overall a good read and thank you to Mum recommending this book.
