I really enjoyed this entire bridging novel. I am someone who is desperate for any and all details I can consume about Zodiac Academy. I was happy to have a sweet little treat to hold us over until zodiac Academy book 9. I loved learning more about the guild stones and the formation of Kings Hollow. If you're looking for deeper world building and background information I highly recommend reading this novel. If you hate anything that could be classified as filler this may not be the book for you. Since I loved it I would prefer for everyone to just read it and love it, but if you know this is not your jam I would recommend it to AT LEAST read the last two chapters of this book.
