If I have to give one word to describe this book, it would be addictive! 
Once I started, it was impossible to put down – if I didn’t have to go do adult stuff then I would've finished this book in one sitting 
 
A fascinating storyline unfolds as the two main characters plot against each other with their own agenda by wooing one another, but things take a different path between them the more time they spend together. 
The magic system is also easy to understand, which makes this story even easier to get lost in. 
 
Dual POV: This is a great touch to the story, as we learn more insight from different perspectives between a witch and a witch hunter, Rune and Gideon. 
I thoroughly enjoyed seeing Gideon and Rune flirt and argue their way around each other as well as the sweet moments where they started opening up to each other at the beach (it’s one of my favorite parts!). 
 
I usually wasn’t a huge fan of love triangles, but this is another exception! I equally love both love interests, making me almost wish she doesn’t have to choose either of them. 
Then, when I thought there was nothing a book boyfriend could do to increase my dating standards, Gideon goes and makes silk flowers and a dress… No wonder Rune gets weak in the knees! 
 
The last few chapters were insane filled with unexpected twists you’ll need to watch out for! 
I’m not going into details with it, but I believe you’ll be as shocked as me when you read this book! 
  
The author has done a great job crafting this beautiful tale between a witch and a witch hunter with a compelling writing style and lovable characters! 
Overall, this book is an enthralling adventure of romance and magic, a definite page turner. 
Perfect for fans of romantasy and enemies-to-lovers tropes!
