π§πΏπΌπ½π²π: football, brother's best friend, she falls first but he falls harder, right person wrong time
π§πΏπΆπ΄π΄π²πΏπ: alcoholism, mental illness, bullying, child abuse, physical abuse
The is the perfect representation of right person wrong time, and even though we had to wait for them to get their HEA, it was so worthy.
I liked how the author portrayed Thomas's struggles, and I loved his long journey into getting a better man. His character development was *chefs kiss*.
Both of them struggled, and even though Layne was still healing her wounds from childhood, she still was a safe place for him.
Their story is told in multiple parts, so we get to see how they met, how they got feelings and everything that happened between them or in their lives.
Thank you Katherine Jay for the opportunity to read this amazing book in exchange for an honest review.
