The Diplomat's Wife by Pam Jenoff

2.0

The plot of the first half of the book is covered pretty thoroughly in the blurb on the back, and the plot of the second half is split pretty evenly between absurdly unrealistic and incredibly predictable. The characters were rather insipid and the dialogue was just ridiculous (I can't imagine "No worries" was actually a common turn of phrase with the spinster aunt set in post-WWII England).

Probably adventure historical romance is not my genre.
