I was so happy when someone recommended this book to me, crowing about the elusive demisexual representation.

But I was in no way prepared for this book. This *story*.

It flattened me. Just. Utterly destroyed.

There are some books whose entire story takes place in the span of a week. This one? Spans a lifetime.

From the moment little Easton tells Wyatt he hopes they end up in the same constellation all the way up to sending their kiddo off to college and every painful, beautiful, moment in between.

The longing in this book is is no dull ache but a fresh, lancing pain. Every wound brand new.

The way that Becca’s death affected them both and the very real mourning they did for her felt whole and raw. I wasn’t super fond of the way poor Harrison was handled, but that’s a single complaint in a sea of compliments.

The book got a little long in the tooth toward the end, but instead of making it feel drug out, it made it feel like it was *more* than just a romance novel.

This isn’t just ab book about how two people fell in love. It’s a book that embodies the adage that Love is Patient and Love is kind and it isn’t *just* romantic love that embodies that.

Absolutely stunning and an unapologetic five star rating from me.
