A Solitude of Wolverines by Alice Henderson

This book got a little bit ridiculous, but I still enjoyed it. I love a good survival thriller and I was surprised how much the main character being a vegetarian, wildlife activist affected my reading. It's just really nice not having to be on guard against sporadic animal death and cruelty, especially in a book set in a wilderness-y setting, with animals involved. It was nice that instead of killing the mountain lion that attacked her, she was sympathetic to the animal's condition and was able to get her rescued. Instead of going to the butcher to buy bait for her camera traps, she found and repurposed road kill. It's the little things. I'll read the next one, just hope it doesn't get too romance-y.
