Wildcard by Marie Lu

Finally I was able to finish this book! Yee!! What happened was that, I had seen so many reviews about this book not being able to do justice with the book 1 that it made me procrastinating the book. I loved Warcross and wanted to love Wildcard as well..

Well.. I did love it!! Not as much as the first one, but it was still worth my time. I loved how Emi got to learn working in a team. I loved her team, their friendship!! It was so refreshing!!

Similar to the first book there was a lot of twists and turns, and I did enjoy them. The truth behind Zero’s identity was shocking and heartbreaking as hell.. I can’t blame Emi for trying to save Hideo, even though what he did was totally wrong, my heart ached for this broken boy!

What made the book even more interesting is that we get to know some background stories of the other characters.. Made them more human to us. You get to know what happened between Roshan and Tremaine, why Asher looses his glow at the mere mention of his brother (atleast a hint of it), why Hammie loves chess or maybe why/how Sasuki became Zero..

For me, this book did a nice job wrapping up all the loose threads of the first book and made it complete enjoyable duo-logy!!

4.5/5 Stars!!
