I feel like this book wants to be a Plot Book. But it’s waaaaaaay too much a Character Book. The ideal book is a perfect combo of both plot and character. And while I found the characters interesting (and all of the narrators on the audio book were great!) the immense focus on the characters’ inner workings made the plot take a back seat, and time travel just isn’t something you can lightly do IF a big premise of the time travel is trying to explain how it works. Much like the first book, this book IS a total vibe.
