I was very conflicted on how many stars to give this book. I absolutely adored the storyline, but it lacked the transition from being Menolly's story to being Piemur's story between books 1-2 and book 3. As I read, I kept reminding myself that this is a Harper Hall of Pern trilogy, not a Menolly trilogy. I give this book a 5 star rating because it was captivating and added new depths and complexities to the trilogy. I loved it!
