This picked up right after the first book left off and I loved diving right into the action. The magic in this installment was wild and I thought it was really interesting how it developed with the characters. I liked how we were taken to different parts of the world here too. Amy did have some character development which was nice to see especially since the book takes place in the same timeline. I liked the new characters that were introduced and I thought they rounded out the story. This also ended on such a cliffhanger and I'm glad I had book three ready to go or I would have lost it! I'm really enjoying the series so far and I'm excited to see how it continues.
