What the River Knows by Isabel Ibañez
4.5
This book was really slow for me. That said, the lack of ridiculous jealousy between the love interests was so refreshing, especially since jealousy is an emotion that isn’t often very strong for me. As was the way that characters reacted to situations. So often in fiction—especially YA—there is some major misunderstanding/overreaction that becomes the entire driving factor of things not going the way they should have, and the conflict in this book felt much more realistic and less forced.
