In My Dreams I Hold a Knife by Ashley Winstead
5.0
I cannot find enough good things to say about this book in this review...but I'll try!!
I have never read a book where I despised the main character so much but also understood her motivations and also rooted for her, all at once.
Ashley Winstead writes about the ugly side of human nature and amplifies all of her deepest, darkest parts. I was in amazed by how she wrote about such common themes in friend groups like jealousy and obsession and insecurity.
This was a story that truly kept you guessing until the end and for once, I had no complaints about plot holes or unrealistic scenarios while reading a psychological thriller.
This is a book that will stay with me for a while and I know I'll be thinking about Jessica Miller and all of her flaws for a long time to come.
