King of Carnage by R.E. Bond
4.0
“I slept beside her most nights, and piece by piece, she put my soul back together.”
Beckett was born into a life of fast cars and power, where her family means everything but when a rumor starts going around campus involving her and her adopted brother, Maddox, Beckett must stand up for herself, even at the expense of her family. Jett, a kid her family took in when she was younger, becomes Beckett’s shoulder to lean on. But what happens if the rumors are true: can Beckett turn her back on her family or will she follow her heart?
“I’m drowning in you and no matter how hard I try, I can’t claw my way back out.”
I loveeee a good taboo romance! I loved the relationships that Beckett had with Jett and Maddox, but more I love the friendship that the two guys developed with each other! One thing I found very interesting was the unique family dynamic that Beckett was born into: she has one mom and multiple dads (some of whom also have relationships with one another) but also the fact that her family is known for helping kids in bad familial situations! Because of this, I wanna go back to read the mom’s series & I can't wait to see which character the next book follows!
Note: check TW/CW! This is Book 1 of an ongoing series. This book violence, a taboo romance (MFM) & themes that are not suitable for everyone.
Thank you to R.E. Bond and Peachy Keens Author Services for this ARC copy. This review was written honestly & voluntarily based on my own enjoyment of the book.
