I enjoyed this book, even reading it for the first time as an adult! I loved how it hooked me immediately with a modern setting of Greek gods, goddesses, heroes and monsters. The middle part with the quest was a little slow for me and I’m not sure why. There were plenty of obstacles and nods to various Greek mythology characters, but I wasn’t as drawn in as I was at the beginning for some reason. This definitely is a very YA read, but I think it is an INCREDIBLE story for the age group it was written for. I’m glad I read it so now I can talk to my students about it, because I see this book around my middle school all the time!
