This book had me hooked from the jump. I thought the interview style of the entire book would take away from the characters, but boy was I wrong. I love how the characters talk about the same events, but do not interact within the same space (other than in the versions of the story they are telling). It makes their responses seem more vulnerable and open while also driving you crazy as a reader because you just want to scream the truth at them. Another beautiful heart wrenching story by Taylor Jenkins Reid.
My one qualm with this book is that it is a very basic story of a rock and roll group in the 60s and 70s. That doesn’t make it any less fun, but it’s not necessarily a story that hasn’t been told once before in some way or another. I feel there could’ve been more representation in the characters or that the story could have held some sort of nugget that made it slightly more unique.
**I love warren with all my might**
