Through the Woods by E.M. Carroll

it's true what they say about the art in this book: it's absolutely amazing. i pause at every page just to stare at every detail and how everything's colored because it's just SO PRETTY.
this would have been a five-star book for me, but i guess everyone was just talking about how creepy and scary it was--and it was, in a way--that it wasn't that creepy for me, and i guess that took a bit out of the experience. still, i highly recommend this, and some of the pages genuinely creeped me out, especially "a lady's hands are cold" and "his face all red."
all in all, this was a superb and beautiful read, and very atmospheric. i'm definitely looking forward to checking out more of emily carroll's works!
