I think this was the last book in the series for me... I just can't find a reason to continue (and I am OCD about finishing things, but just... nope). For me the idea of the Taste society and food tasters was interesting enough, but the thing is, after the first book, it doesn't really matter or come into play that much. In this book you could take it out completely and the plot or outcome wouldn't change in any way. The heroine would fumble her way through in investigation the same way... and I have a hard time a civillian with no experience or training would be able to solve what a police department couldn't.
