Why do people rate this 5 stars and swoon over Harden? This is obviously a abusive relationship, how do people think this is romantic wtf?

This sounds like Harden. It's just a fact, no denial that he 'loves' Tessa. People in an abusive relationship might love eachother, but that doesn't mean it's cute or something to strive for. Seriously how the fuck is this romantic?



Harden having a hard childhood is no excuse for the shit he pulls, he's still a dickhead. Tessa isn't 'strong' because she tells him she doesn't like the things he does if she doesn't actually goes through with it. People say it's realistic and while that might be true that doesn't make it okay and it's absolutely not something to romanticize. The ending was literally the most disgusting thing and people will defend it because he loves her now? This doesn't fucking matter because if he never fell in love with her he would have still done it. It still makes him a disgusting piece of shit. The excuse 'I didn't know you by then' is the dumbest thing I ever heard. So it's okay to pull this kind of stuff if you don't know a person? WTF what is wrong with people. Tessa's 'friends' all knew about this and only felt bad because they know Tessa now, but if they didn't it would have been okay? Don't even get me started on Tessa though. She is supposed to be the good character, but can't stop cheating, slutshaming and being judgy.
