This is my second time reading this and it was just as good as I remember it being the first time. I loved the college setting for a YA novel and the fantasy elements were completely on point. I also really enjoyed the diversity of the characters, not just in race, but in capabilities and skills as well. There was no lull of action and even knowing what was happening I was still completely hooked on the story. I thought the historical tie-ins were really well done. The magic was unique and interesting and there were just so many good things. Bree is an exceptional main character and her fierceness is seriously admirable. I also have a soft spot for Selwyn and I'm definitely excited to see where his character arc goes in the next book. I won't take any criticism on this book as it truly is a great one. It's got action, incredibly strong and developed characters and a great take on a classic story. Definitely still a favorite of mine and I'm intrigued to see what happens next!
